Hickam Federal Credit Union creates safety IDs for 230 keiki & kupuna

Hickam Federal Credit Union provided 230 IDs at its first Keiki and Kupuna ID service since 2019. The service was offered for free to the public during the Celebrate Safe Communities event at Pearlridge Center on March 4th, 2023. Twenty Hickam FCU staff and family volunteers took shifts working the booth, which was located in the Mauka wing first floor, right under the Hickam FCU Pearlridge Branch.

Although Keiki and Kupuna IDs cannot be used in any official capacity, they are a crucial resource in emergency situations. The IDs can be helpful in situations where families need help locating or identifying missing children and elders. The individual’s information, photo, and fingerprints are displayed on the card.

Hickam FCU was glad to provide the service to help make the community better, together.
