Hawaii State FCU announced the 20 recipients of its 2023 Hawaii State FCU Scholarship program who will receive a combined total of $100,000 in scholarships. The students will be awarded $5,000 each to help with tuition at an accredited university, college, or trade/vocational school for the 2023-2024 school year. “We created the Hawaii State FCU scholarship program more than 25 years ago because we believed then, and still do today, that by investing in education we are helping to set Hawaii’s youth on the trajectory for future success,” said Andrew Rosen, Hawaii State FCU President and CEO. “Congratulations to these 20 deserving scholarship recipients, and we wish them the best as they embark on their academic and professional journeys.” The scholarship recipients were selected based on financial need, academic merit, and extracurricular activities. This year, 13 recipients are undergraduates and seven are graduate students pursuing advanced degrees. Since 1996, Hawaii State FCU has awarded more than $1,000,000 in scholarships to help Hawaii’s best and brightest students pursue their higher education goals.
