11th Annual Credit Unions of Maui Charity Golf Tournament to Benefit Maui Junior Golf Association

Credit unions are built on the principle of people helping people. For the past 11 years, the Credit Unions of Maui have brought that philosophy to the community through their annual charity golf tournament, supporting organizations that strengthen Maui.

This year's tournament, scheduled for Saturday, July 25, 2026, at Waiehu Municipal Golf Course, will benefit the Maui Junior Golf Association (MJGA), a nonprofit that has made golf accessible to local youth for more than 60 years, regardless of financial background.

Founded in 1960, MJGA is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to promoting golf among juniors of all ages and skill levels. Through affordable and inclusive programs, MJGA teaches not only the game of golf, but also valuable life skills such as responsibility, leadership, sportsmanship, and perseverance. Proceeds from the tournament will help ensure Maui's keiki continue to have access to these opportunities, regardless of their family's circumstances.

Event Details:

  • Date: Saturday, July 25, 2026
  • Time: Registration at 5:30 a.m.; Shotgun start at 6:30 a.m.
  • Location: Waiehu Municipal Golf Course
  • Format: Four-person teams, modified scramble
  • Cost: $175 per player for cart, green fees, and two mulligans
  • Registration Deadline: July 11, 2026

 

Participants can look forward to a variety of amenities, including:

  • Par-3 contests and on-course games
  • Post-tournament lunch from Tante's Cafe
  • Prize giveaways and door prizes
  • Early Bird Bonus: Register by June 19 to be entered in exclusive drawings

Since 2014, Kahului FCU, Maui County FCU, MauiFed CU, Maui Teachers FCU, Valley Isle Community FCU, and Wailuku FCU have proudly collaborated to host this annual tournament in support of local nonprofits. Together, they have raised over $301,000 to enhance the health and well-being of individuals and families across Maui County.

Maui Junior Golf Association (MJGA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that introduces the game of golf and its traditions to the youth on Maui. MJGA develops life skills through fun, affordable and competitive programs that educate, motivate and inspire future golfers.
